Stogie wrote: | Hi all
I`m new to this forum, but i`ve played with some off you on the Coop2 server. I should take more time to play INF, it`s always fun with you
I have a suggestion for a new INF version:
INF 2.9.1
INF 2.9 ( or an Update ) with all mutators (especially M60 Mut ) and Fixes that have been realesed after Ver. 2.9
And one important question, i`ve seen 2 INF screenshots where it shows an MG74/MG3 and a L85 (can`t remember where i saw that sry ). Where do i find those Weapon Muts plz ??????

To the best of my knowledge anything the Inf Weapons Pack lot were working on won't get finished because certain key personel are very busy with real life. _________________

Btw, hi Stogie.
Yes I saw a picture with 2 INF soldiers with the one (or both) beeing prone having an MG3. I can not find it though.
By the way, I discovered pics of the old INF soldier models, the very old have pouches at the front, a water bottle at the side and a different backpack (1, 2), they even have proper colours, the black is almost like in my camos (3), compare the grey gloves.
The newer had the same model as we have now, but no buttpack and a water bottle at the side (4).
You can see the pictures in the Model gallery.
Strangely those models carry a better texture (also higher res) than what we had in Infiltration. |

Performance reasons maybe? I can remember when 2.9 came out, I had serious performance issues... |

Small note from my side: unless you can make sure M4Imp runs AFTER WP151 I wouldn't to it, since it might replace certain Hk416 configurations with an M4 - running after WP151 has it's drawbacks too (namely bulk and loss of one 40mm) but at least the HK fanboys and -girls won't be pissed when they end up with a US piece of junk instead of their beloved German Wertarbeit.
Note: MultiMut doesn't really seem to be a safe way to ensure some mutator runs after another..
Note: RO979 should be safe to run, since it doesn't replace weapons () _________________ "Anything you do can get you killed, including doing nothing."

I think the splashdamage of 40mm's need to be stronger. What about a 40mm fix? |

Splashdamage? Is that the damage from blast or damage from fragmentation? I think new40mm by Yurch used more fragmentation and less blast damage or so. _________________ "Anything you do can get you killed, including doing nothing."

I think in case of fragmentation grenades the fragmentation damage should be increased, not sure about the explosion damage.
I put a 40mm right near a normal Skaarj yesterday (it detonated like 1.5m near him) and I needed 3 rifle rounds to finish him. Only direct hits are best with 40mm, but grenades aren't designed for rifle like accuracy. |

What kind of 40mm? Inf HE (M16A2/Hk416), INFMOD HE (M16A4/M4A1 unmodified), Yurch (new40mm), VOG25 HE(AKM)? Plus isn't the general consent Skaarj are too tough for 40mms - I mean they do survive an awful lot of those M855s too. I guess 40mm fragments won't pierce their body armor too well considering a rounds that's supposed to go through 3mm RHSA does that little to them. _________________ "Anything you do can get you killed, including doing nothing."

Feels a bit more like a chat than a forum at the moment - I like being at work
The new40mm work with the Hk69 and the M16A2 IIRC - since I'm not sure how it replaces the nades, the Hk416 might or might not be supported, I personally doubt the M16A4/M4A1 is suported. I could check it when I'm back home though.
Just try it? _________________ "Anything you do can get you killed, including doing nothing."

M16A2 mutator and new40mm will conflict.
It's easy to resolve the problem by adding the new grenades to the M16A2 mutator, but this will create a dependency on the new40mm package.
You can also just copy the new40mm files to the M16A2 package. |

Well, concerning the L85 you got cheated - it's missing the SUSAT (or ACOG for latest versions) . Never been too much of an Airsoft fan, those things are just too expensive for what the do IMO -what to they cost nowadays?
Concerning the Inf2.9 update; first of all there is the community edition which has quite a bit of the stuff, except for the newer releases; then this is the COOP forum and not the main Inf forum, which would be the better (even though similarily futile) place to pose such a question. _________________ "Anything you do can get you killed, including doing nothing."
