Stinkmarder, I noticed you have a fancly "[JdgKdo]" tag below your username. How do I get such a text below mine? I'd really like to have the "Mk82HD" tag as on BuF.

Thanks in Advance..

In my good-old-FOOL times, I wrote a technical guide for keyboard mappings (sorry, german only)

http://f-o-o-l.de/big.php?site=Lustiges&boardid=67 (just for fun)

Normally, I just used a view keybinds. The less the better, because if 8 guys are writing everything they do all the time, everyone is fully occupied with reading the log instead of playing the game...
For me it has proofed best if any communication keybind is accompanied with a team speech, because you havn't time to read everything "in heat of combat"...

My keybinds have been: [(x) is the specific speech]
(In position) - Securing direction <north>
(Move) - Giving up position
(Need some backup) - Retreating
(I need some backup NOW) - Heavy contact
(contact) - Contact facing (direction)

<Name>, I'll cover you
<Name>, cover me

In UT, you're able to bundle some commands. Many guys did so for their reloading, e.g.
r = reload | teamsay reloading | speech (Need some backup)

In times of much contact, all you heard and read was the keybind listed above. The real tactic commands have been overlooked just because the message window was fully filled and UT was busy playing the "need some backup" sound ...

But that were FOOL tactics. I don't know what other platoons did to increase teamplay...

Exactly the one key assigned to push-to-talk for TeamSpeak and a server your entire team is on - plus a whole lot of radio discipline, but I doubt you can assign this to a key.

Otherwise I'd second XploDs opinion that everything NOT resulting in speech is more or less wasted. I'd go with "contact"(plus reportdirection in case someone has the time to read it), "need backup" and "cease fire", though when using the latter in DTAS it might already be too late Mr. Green

I would consider these essential too:

"Fall Back"
"In range"
"Engage / GoGoGo"
"Clear"
"Advancing"
"Tango down"

Take a look at:

Since like 2 days the PC runs an about 5min long CHDSK thing for D:\ (my game partition) everytime I boot the PC. It can be stopped, but sometimes it doesn't even react to the abort and runs it anyway.
I suspected it had to do with the Mod, since it started about that time, but I removed the PsyTex folder from the disk and it still runs the CHDSK.

Any ideas to fix that?

I don't know what is going on, but I do know it has nothing to do with the PsyTex mod.

Your computer probably crashed or something.

Did you let checkdisk finish 100% at least once?

I let it finish often, since most of the time I can't even abort it.

You should see a message:
"Starting diskcheck in 10 seconds, press any key to abort"
Or something to that effect...

IIRC you can remove the startup entry from the registry (From memory):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RuOnce\

That's the thing, most times it simply doesn't react even if I bash "any" key, only few times it quit the process.

Where do I put these?

You typed "RuOnce" is that how it's called, or should it be "RunOnce"?

Does "Ru(n)Once" mean it will run that thing on next start up once and then don't (except the next big crash comes)?
What does "Run" do?

Yes, I meant RunOnce ... Typo...

Everything in "Run" will run every time the computer boots.

Everything in "RunOnce" will run once and then be removed from the registry.

Ok, but what to do with these lines, where to put them?

Btw, I think it has to do with Opera browser, because it lists opr1 files that are deleted which are cache stuff. I see if I can fix it by removing the cache stuff.

Can anybody help me to get rid of this damn error?

"Sorry, but the maximum filesize for all Attachments in your Private Message Folder has been reached. Please delete some of your received/sent Attachments."

The problem is that I can't send Attachments anymore. I deleted a lot of Attachments so that I didn't hit the maximum filesize anymore. But it still doesn't work! I troubled around with it since Wednesday. Mad
Maybe somebody has an idea what could be the reason for that?
Could it be that deleted Attachments stay somewhere in litterbox or something like that? Or an error in program, so that maybe one time hit doesn't disappear?
Please help Exclamation
